I’m a big fan of artists who mix genres and believe it or not Steve Aoki might be at the top of my list. Before he was an Electro DJ at Cinespace, he was the lead singer of a skram band called This Machine Kills. There are subtle hints to his past in songs like Warp, but most people would never have guessed. Dim Mak, Aoki’s label, has just released a single from the Bloody Beetroots that suggests we might hear more screaming over analog synths down the road. I for one am all for it.

Touché Amoré

After signing with Deathwish Records a little over a year ago, Touché Amoré is back on tour promoting their latest effort, “Parting The Sea Between Brightness And Me”. The L.A. based band has been gaining notoriety over past several years touring with the likes of Killing The Dream, Trash Talk and This Is Hell as well as some skram bands like Ampere, Comadre and La Quiete. The tour will hit up major cities across the United States. They put on a hell of show; definitely check them out if you get a chance.
